Michigan Fall Wedding at Heritage Farm Market | Bailey & Rodney
Bailey and Rodney tied the knot on a beautiful Saturday in September and let me tell you… it was AMAZING!
The happy couple got married at Heritage Farms Market in Fremont, MI. Their wedding was beautiful with fall tones such as burnt orange, greens, and subtle blues. The bridesmaid’s dresses were velvet and dark orange while the groomsmen wore a crisp white button down, a tie and blue dress pants.
Bailey’s dress was stunning! It had a very flowy skirt with a lace corseted bodes and Rodney wore a sleek blue suit. Together they looked timeless!
Let talk about details! We lay all the bride’s jewelry, shoes, bouquet, veil, and invitation/save the date out in a special place with great light to capture all the small pretty things that make the day special. For this lay flat we decided to use one of the bridesmaid’s dresses as a backdrop. We also do this with the groom’s accessories. It’s such an elegant way to remember the details!
The couple got ready in the vintage farmhouse they have on the property. When we arrived, we met Connor Rake who was doing all the videography for the couple. Let me tell you he was so easy to work with! He was so respectful of us as photographers and such a pleasure to work with! The bride and bridesmaids were upstairs, and the groom and groomsmen were downstairs. Bailey’s mom helped her get into her dress while her sister/maid of honor also helped. We suggested that she do a first look with her bridesmaids since only her maid of honor saw her. She liked the idea, so we set it up for her. When her bridesmaids turned to look at her you could see the joy in all their eyes! They were beyond excited for her! We then got ready for the fathers first look. We set up dad in one of the rooms upstairs and got Bailey. When he turned to see his lovely daughter, he was overcome with emotion and mom wasn’t far behind with the tissues! Such a touching moment!
The ceremony was held outside next to a gazebo covered in lush green vines surrounded by their loved ones. The ceremony was short and sweet giving us lots of time for photos! The bridal party was so much fun. We had a blast posing them and taking lots of fun photos! We then took just the bride and groom for some intimate photos by the barn and surrounding areas. As a couple they seemed to have a playful and fun relationship. Their personalities complimented each other, and you could see how comfortable they were together.
The reception was held inside the large modern barn at Heritage Farms. Inside there were lots of twinkly lights and chandeliers with the main chandelier being made from deer antlers. A cohesive mix between country and modern. Dinner was delicious with cordon blue, roast beef, a potato bar, mac and cheese, and yummy vegetables. Mary Rose catering hit it out of the park! A little while later the couple ‘’cut the cake’’ with delicious donuts provided by the venue and if for some reason donuts aren’t your jam, they had some tasty pies to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Shorty after dinner Bailey and Rodney shared their first dance followed by the father daughter dance. Bailey also did a dance with her mother which was so touching to watch. You could tell how close they are. Rodney then shared a dance with his mother. He then danced with their one-year-old son. He held him close and sang to him the whole time. So precious! Bailey joined in on the dance at the end. Such a cute and adorable family moment to capture! Bailey’s mother and father were then called to the dancefloor to share a dance which was touching and emotional. They danced for a little while then the DJ called for all the other married couples to head to the dancefloor to participate in the anniversary dance. DJ Clayton Brenner from DJ Jefferey Schildroth did an amazing job throughout the night! He was so great to work with and kept everyone happy and on the dancefloor!
After the dances we hopped into Rodney’s truck to head across the street to get some moody pumpkin photos. Bailey is known for LOVING fall and pumpkins so once we saw the pumpkin field we knew we had to go over there!
We finished the night with a photo of the new couple leaning against the white fence outside the barn holding our light up love sign. We also may have joined in on the wobble when we were finished. A testament on how fun the guests were and how amazing the DJ was!
Congratulations Bailey and Rodney! Your wedding is one we will not soon forget! We wish you the best in your marriage and the beautiful future I’m sure you’ll share!
